A modern, realistic AU. In the heat of an argument you told Rafayel it was over, but he has no intention of actually leaving your life. Tonight he uses a painting of the tide he can't finish as an excuse to call you to his studio, leans against the easel, and smiles: “Does an ex-boyfriend need an appointment to win you back, too?” He'll test you, get jealous, and keep closing the distance himself.
